Rose Garden Body Butter
There’s nothing that quite matches the beauty of a Rose Garden, we find the scent of Roses gives off the penultimate ‘breathe of fresh air’ feel. So we thought, why not try and reproduce this feeling but on our skin? Say hello to our fairtrade certified Rose Garden Body Butter, the body butter to help make your skin feel like it’s been showered in petals.
We have used a mixture of Rose Geranium oil and Rose Essential Oil to capture the essence of a Rose Garden within our pots. Rose Geranium is a type of Geranium that exudes a strong Rose scent, a smell that has been studied and thought to enhance relaxation, and soothe anxiety. It can help to brighten and remove dead skin cells, leaving you with a natural glow. The Rose Essential Oil is used to also provide the lovely sweet aroma of a Rose, bringing you the subtle but luxuriously smelling Rose Garden Body Butter.
Shea butter plays a key role in all of our body butters, as it is a naturally occurring emollient. This means that it can soak through the skin easily and create a moisture sealing barrier, therefore keeping your skin softer for longer.
We also use Apricot Kernel Oil, a light neutral scented oil (can’t distract from the Roses now!) that absorbs into the skin easily, without leaving a greasy residue. It is mainly made up of oleic and linoleic acids, which are both unsaturated fats that are known to have great benefits for skin. Linoleic acid provides moisture, which easily and quickly absorbs into the skin, as it is very similar to the natural sebum that our skin creates itself, while Oleic acid works hard to maintain the suppleness and radiance of our skin, therefore producing the perfect skincare duo.
Other ingredients involved include: Grapeseed Oil, for that skin toning impact; Corn Starch, to thicken the cream so it’s lovely and buttery; Peach Kernel Oil, with its high levels of omega oils; Lavender Essential Oil, for that revitalising push; Palma Rosa Essential Oil, to help bring a feeling of peace; and Grapefruit Seed Extract, for its antioxidant nature.
